Streptomyces Hygroscopicus

Herbimycin A is a benzoquinoid ansamycin antibiotic that acts a cell permeable inhibitor of tyrosine kinase and inducer of Heat Shock Proteins. Herbimycin A demonstrates anti-angiogenesis activity and also increases the sensitivity of certain cancer cells to chemotherapeutic agents.
